About the book:
The second edition of a textbook for first-year undergraduates studying social policy. The aim is to outline and introduce the conceptual and analytical tools essential to the study of the subject. Material is organized into sections outlining competing interpretations of the social world based on the perspectives of social democracy, neo- liberalism, and Marxism; looking at critical perspectives on welfare provision; and examining a number of issues and debates within social policy.
